Who We Are
Attorneys Alan Souders and Michelle Mance along with the paralegal and technical staff, make up
Souders Law Group . Besides working in the legal field, we have worked in engineering, business, construction, real estate, environmental, consulting, contract administration, data management, business organization, government service, the military, policing and teaching . From experience, we know that good service comes from a team made up of the right people who help each other. In our practice we work in teams. While we don't all work on the same matters, (that would be costly for you and us!) we try to keep each other aware of our clients' needs and support each other to fulfill those needs.
We are aware of the challenges our clients face. We believe our experience in other jobs and academic fields adds unique perspectives and knowledge. Like most people and small businesses, we ourselves deal with regulations, leases, contracts, insurance claims, retirement, aging family members, and the responsibilities and challenges we all have in our lives.

As members of the Washington and Federal Bars, our attorneys practice in Washington State and federal courts for the Western District of Washington.
From our Skagit County office in Anacortes we serve individuals, families and companies throughout Northwest Washington. We represent our clients in state and federal courts, including courts in Skagit, Island, Whatcom, San Juan, Snohomish, King, Pierce, and Jefferson counties, as well as the federal courts for the Western District of Washington.
We have helped clients deal with matters in other states, either by assisting in administrative procedures that do not require an attorney to be a member of that state's bar, or by helping clients locate a lawyer in another state to represent them.

9 am - 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday

Our focus is on helping people and companies succeed. We advise and advocate for our clients when they face tough legal decisions.
We also hope to guide our clients to take steps to protect their interests and avoid legal problems.
We try to offer practical - not just legal - ideas for our clients to consider.
We have faced similar challenges. We know there are often several options for solving a problem or deciding on a course of action.
You will get an up-front estimate - or a fixed rate - for our work.
For hourly work, we propose a scope of work, usually by working out with you what you want us to do. Then we give you an estimate for the work.
We give genuine, personal service. As a small firm committed to being your legal team, we all work to help you and each other.
