Trust Law Changes

Changes to Washington State's trust law went into effect on January 1, 2012.  If you are a trustor, trustee, or trust beneficiary, you should be aware of these changes and know if they affect you.  If you are a trustee, become aware of increased notification and reporting requirements that may now be part of your duties.  Beneficiaries should also know what to expect of the trustee.  If you are considering setting up a trust, consult with an estate attorney with knowledge of these revisions so that you may consider how best to carry out your estate planning.
